As an aspiring erotic novelist, one of the most important things to do is build up a body of positive reviews for my writing. And unfortunately, that’s not something I can do myself. I’m entirely dependent on you, my readers, to do that for me.
Positive reviews drive sales. If people see a number of positive reviews on a site like Amazon or Goodreads.com, they’re more likely to buy the book and try it out. And if they like the book, they’re more likely to by another one. And positive reviews are particularly important on Amazon, because Amazon’s search rankings are partly influenced by the number of reviews for a particular work. If you search for “gay leather bdsm erotica”, Leather God Descending will come up, but its position in the search results will be higher if it has more reviews. And since people generally don’t dig further than the first two pages or so, that makes a huge difference in the number of people who are likely to find my books and buy one.
So if you’ve bought one of my books and enjoyed it, I would really appreciate it if you’d rate and review it on Amazon, Barnes and Noble, or Goodreads. I would appreciate it so much, I’m going to offer you an incentive to do so. As a thank you, I will send you a link to one of my short stories. At the moment, this is story that only those who review one of my books will get to read. I like it a lot, so much that it might eventually get turned into a novella. But for now, it’s a special reward and incentive to people who are supporting me.
