Silhouette is Back on Amazon

This is just a brief post to say that my porn (ok, ok, “erotic”) novel about Silhouette and Dr. Inevitable is back on Amazon!

The only clue that Amazon staff gave me about why they blocked me is that there was a concern about the cover as well as the contents. Figuring out what they disliked about the cover wasn’t too hard, so I asked @2LubKhLand to make a small modification to his original artwork and he very kindly did so. I resubmitted the cover for the first half of the story and they unblocked it (well, technically they let me republish it) . Evidently the contents either weren’t really an issue or they ignored the content issue this time around.

See if you can spot the difference. Here’s the original combined cover art:

and here’s the revised combined cover:

Did you spot the difference? Feel free to post guesses in the comments.

The result is that both halves of the story (Silhouette: The Hero Captured and Silhouette: The Hero Conquered) are now available on Amazon. I’m gonna submit the complete novel later today. It was at this point that they blocked the original novel, so I’m not totally out of the woods yet. But I think they’ll approve it this time.

You can read an excerpt from the first half of the novel here.

  1. It can’t be the only thing, but I guess they prefer leather pants under chaps rather than a jock?

    1. Yeah, that’s literally the only difference—tweaked the chaps and jock into pants.

      1. You’re joking. That exact same patch of skin is commonly displayed when there is a female model on the cover. Talk about a double standard.

      2. Well, since they won’t give me -any- specific feedback, I had to guess, but it got past the censor.

  2. I guess all’s well that ends well, but that’s a strange system they have.

    1. It’s sort of Orwellian. I don’t know for a fact that’s what made the difference—all I can by is the result. They give virtually no information on their decisions.
